Walking Tour in Marini

Bonfiglioli Consulting organizes, in collaboration with Crit, a Walking Tour in theMarini manufacturing plant to appreciate directly in the field the results of the Lean World Class®.

Now more than ever, it becomes necessary to find business models that can cope with the profound changes the manufacturing sector is experiencing. It is necessary to be excellent not only in terms of product, but also in processes, especially in the Operations area.

The Lean World Class® is a concrete response to the needs of those enterprises that are capable of perceiving and managing change. We affirm this with the certainty of those who have, data in hand, real experiences in the field and measurable and lasting results.

The experiences gained in this field and the concrete results obtained allow us to affirm that Lean World Class® makes it possible to cope with those problems that are encountered daily in Operations in the manufacturing sector on companies that operate on a contract basis, building plants of considerable size.

Marini started on this path and chose Bonfiglioli Consulting as a partner for the implementation of a major corporate reorganization project that has brought and is bringing relevant results.

The Walking Tour is a guided field trip to understand logic and actions for waste elimination. The goal: to provide a view of the Lean operating philosophy through the presentation of a real-life case application.

The main findings can be summarized as follows:

  • Reduction in plant delivery time and increase in customer service level
  • Increased productivity in production departments and reduced waste along the entire supply chain
  • Involvement, professional growth and increased motivation of staff at all hierarchical levels

Founded in 1899, as early as the 1920s MARINI played a decisive role in the development of motorization and the revival of the road construction and maintenance industry. This was followed by a strong expansion into new markets and the development of its own technologies for the design and construction of its asphalt mix plants and recycling solutions. It has been part of the French FAYAT Group since 1988 and employs more than 350 people. Its offices and main production plant are located in Alfonsine (RA) and occupy an "area of more than 150,000 m2 of which 37,000 m2 is covered.
