OBJECTIVES

Through Learning By Doing training, participants will acquire the skills and technical tools to:

  • Understand how to best manage time and resources at the macro and micro level of activity planning
  • Define best practices to stimulate the establishment of habits to serve continuous improvement

PROBLEM SETTING AND PROBLEM SOLVING

  • The methodological strategies: PDCA, DMAIC, A3, 8D
  • Qualitative tools of Root Cause Analysis: 5W+1H, Ishikawa.
  • Quantitative tools of Root Cause Analysis: Histogram, Pareto Diagram, Stratification, Correlation Diagram.
  • The consolidation of achievements, standardization and training: Management of proposals, time and results, Progress control, Standards (One Point Lesson and Standard Operating Procedure), Audit.

Learning By Doing session: Day for discussion of business projects and case studies from a Problem Solving perspective.

 

PROCESS MAPPING

  • Value Stream Mapping: Tools for mapping workflows (Spaghetti chart, Flow Chart, Swim Lane or Cross-Functional Diagram)
  • Performance Measures: Flow Index (Lead Time and Process Time)
  • Improvement: How to balance activities

Learning By Doing session: Discussion of participants' business projects and case studies from a VSM perspective.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • MACRO DESIGN: Project definition (SMART method), Feasibility assessment (economic, time, technical),Project planning (WBS - Work Breakdown Structure).
  • MICRO PLANNING: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, How to plan the work agenda, SMART method by objectives, Eisenhower Urgent/Important method, time blocking, GTD method with lists, OKR (Goals& Key Results) method, Pomodoro method, KANBAN method, ABCDE method.

 

CREATING HABITS FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Genesis and Structure of a Behavioral Habit, Individual Habits and Organizational Habits, When and How to Redesign a New Work Routine (Standard).
  • Identify and define the results we want to achieve, Define the concrete performance standards to be achieved in the long term, Define the "why yes," Define the "why not."
  • Photographing the current state and identifying what I want to change.
  • Best Practices, So-so Practices of Yesterday.
  • PDCA cycle applied to work routine redesign, How to turn the new routine into an example for others.

 

The course consists of a total of 7 days of training:
Five days are devoted to thematic lectures, alternating between experiential activities, exercises, presentations and group discussions.
2 days of Project Work: presentation of projects and case studies brought directly by participants in the course
