“Analysis of Time and Methods for Efficiency” course.”

Optimize processes and contain costs with job analysis

The “Time and Method Study” course provides a structured approach to work analysis to support the improvement of production efficiency. The course introduces the fundamental principles of Time and Method Study, aimed at observing, describing, and measuring work in a structured manner. It will delve into the definition of the standard method, activity classification, time recording, and the determination of standard time. The course enables participants to acquire useful tools to support costing, scheduling, line balancing, and operational performance evaluation.

Goals: improve business efficiency and contain costs

Through this course, participants will be able to:

  • apply the basic concepts of Time and Methods analysis;
  • learn to break down a process into operations and activities;
  • Classify activities into VA, NVA, and NNVA.;
  • understand the logic of the standard method;
  • learn to detect and interpret tempos;
  • understanding the shift from timed time to standard time;
  • Apply the basic concepts of takt time, saturation, and balancing.

Program

  • Foundations of Time and Motion Study
  • Role of the Analyst and Management of Resistance
  • Methods Analysis: Process, Activity, and Workflow
  • Standard Method and VA/NVA/NNVA Classification
  • Analysis of timing and determination techniques
  • Time analysis, efficiency, surcharges, and acyclic activities
  • Terminology: cycle time, takt time, saturation, and balancing
  • Practical exercise on video and final learning assessment

Who the course is for: technicians, analysts and managers

The course is aimed at individuals involved in the organization and improvement of production processes: time and motion analysts, production technicians and managers, process engineers, manufacturing engineers, industrialization specialists, department heads, shift leaders, planning staff, and lean/continuous improvement personnel.
