In particular, the assembly process was reviewed, applying methods and tools for balancing the workload of the lines also thanks to a new layout.
The efficiency of the machining department has been measured and major losses have been attacked through specific improvements, involving operators.
Finally, Flash Meetings were introduced, which are very effective tools for team coordination, consolidation of improvements achieved, and knowledge dissemination.
The main result of this project, which is still ongoing, has been the increase in productivity at the assembly of the 25% and the reduction in delivery time of the 30%.
To this important achievement, a significant change in corporate culture towards empowerment and autonomy of all people involved in the project is added.
