Two days dedicated to the synergy Lean Production and Industry 4.0, in which to understand how enabling technologies can support the pillars of Lean World Class® and accelerate Lean & Digital Transformation.

The contents

The two days will include:

• Overview of the Lean & Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 theme and their potential
• Distinct sessions on assembling an electric motor with evidence of waste being gradually attacked and eliminated
• Use of Digital Instruction & Input, to experience the benefits of digital and integrated management of assembly instructions and quality controls
• Use of advanced Collect & Analyze tools for data collection from assembly, component and anomaly tracking
• Briefings after each production session to strengthen team-working, refer to Lean indicators and activate actions for waste reduction/elimination
• Simulation of a Flash Meeting in paperless mode, based on digitally collected and automatically reclassified data

TheFlash Meetings performed in paperless mode are a clear example of the synergy between Lean tools and digital technologies.
Indeed, the transformation brought by Industry 4.0 allows Shopfloor Management tools to be implemented and used even more effectively.
Tracking of semi-finished products and components and the use of IoT technologies enable integrated data management, and their processing and layering at different degrees of detail, supporting all continuous improvement activities.
