Problem Setting & Problem Solving

Develops skills to solve problems effectively and efficiently

Course to learn methods and techniques of Lean Problem Solving

A problem arises the instant an event results in an outcome that deviates from the expected one. Being confronted with unexpected phenomena makes one perceive the need to quickly find solutions that bring the results back toward the desired standard. From this perspective, Problem Solving represents a methodology based on tools and techniques enriched by creativity, intuition and experience to define and evaluate alternative paths of resolution. Knowing how to correctly define the problem (so-called Problem Setting) is a key step in identifying the most useful strategy for solving a given problem.

OBJECTIVES

The course will enable participants to:

  • Understand the proper steps to arrive at the definition and then solution of a problem;
  • Experiment with effective tools to analyze a problem and propose solutions;
  • Find out how to foster the group in problem solving;
  • Knowing how to identify obstacles that prevent one from reaching problem solving;
  • Learning methods and techniques for developing creative thinking.

PROGRAM

  • Defining a problem
  • The Steps of Problem Solving
  • The problem setting:
