Scenario

Management at WEBASTO, a group that manufactures automotive components, realized that reducing production lead time may not be enough to respond promptly to market demands. It is also necessary for the flow of information to be able to flow without interruption.
For this reason, management has requested Bonfiglioli Consulting to. Focus on the customer order management flow, from availability request to product shipment.

Areas of intervention

Tracking activities from customer order receipt to shipment for the purpose of evaluating:

  • Incidence of non-value assets versus value assets
  • Collection of any critical issues/losses

The activities were then classified to identify their intensity and frequency and their relative breakdown in terms of:

  • VA : Assets at Value
  • NVA: Activities not at Value, waste eliminable
  • SV: Activities at Semivalore, waste not eliminable but reducible

  • Interviews with resources and managers to validate/integrate data
  • Mapping the order management process
  • Data collection on activities
  • Proposal and implementation of shared solutions
