The CARTIERE DEL GARDA case presents the experience of a company that began a journey of change and chose Bonfiglioli Consulting as its partner for the implementation of major improvement projects.
In particular, the Finishing process, applying methods and tools for line workload balancing. Efficiency in all Converting departments was measured and major losses were attacked through specific improvements involving operators. The following was developed a new model of Planning which is based on a Logistic Decision Support tool. The Flash Meeting, very effective tools for coordinating teams, consolidating the improvements achieved and disseminating knowledge. Finally, the following has been extended the application of the 5S to the entire plant.
The main results of this project, which is still ongoing, were theIncreased productivity at the sheeters of 7% and a general Increase in OEE upon converting between 5 and 6%. In addition to this important milestone, there is a significant Change of corporate culture toward empowerment and autonomy of all people involved in the project.
