Digital renaissance: what intelligence for recovery?

The event, organized by Michele Bonfiglioli in his capacity as President of the Professional Services Sector of Confindustria Emilia, in collaboration with 15 other regional Confindustria associations from Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Trentino-Alto Adige—which represent the beating heart of the Italian economy—took place in Modena on October 6, 2021, in the prestigious setting of the Military Academy.

This event examines the advent of new technologies from a different perspective, questioning what the real impacts on the economy and people’s lives might be, drawing a historical parallel to envision a period of renewed splendor for people—and why not, for Italy as well, the cradle of the Renaissance.

The Renaissance, in fact, was the triumph of human intelligence and creativity, a reaction to the difficult centuries of the Middle Ages. Today, once again, all of humanity is called upon to react to improve its condition, in a sustainable and forward-looking way. What technologies and what forms of intelligence will help us do this?
