Lean Japan Study Tour 2019

7th – 13th April 2019

A STUDY TOUR in Japan to live a 360° comprehensive Lean experience, thanks to customized tours in Nissan Motor, Bankyo Pharmaceutical, Fancl Ltd, Toto e Omron Group plants and to Lean training sessions held by ex Manager Toyota.

The Study Tour highlights:

  • Site visits in manufacturing and services organizations, in order to understand how Lean Management are implemented and startegies are executived in Japan
  • Daily group debriefing, held by a Lean Expert, to maximize benefits from the shared experience
  • Direct interaction with local working environment and local Managers, thanks to the support of a Japanese culture expert
  • Sharing other entrepreneurs and managers experiences far from everyday routine
  • Attendance to Alumni LFS Japan Tour meetings: site visits in tours attendees organizations in order to share exepriences on real issues and share potential solutions to improve, strengthen what learnt in Japan thanks to a Lean Exert

GOALS

  • Understanding and focus on Lean Thinking concepts and logic
  • Experiencing the Japanese reality of the industry and the services they achieved, by applying and interpreting every level of the Lean Thinking, the excellence of operational processes and quality of service
  • Supporting  the exchange of experienceamong participants and Japanese management through the support of an Italian expert in Japanese culture.

We will visit the following plants:

  • Nissan Motors Co. Ltd to compare TPS and Nissan Production System and to see first-hand an excellent example of Automotive manufacturing within a wide production mix
  • Fancl Corporation, experiencing first hand an example of Lean Implementation  in a highly regulated industry
  • Leading Automotive Manufacturer to seeing first-hand an example of sustainability pillar impelmented in the Lean and TPS approach
  • Bankyo Pharmaceutical to seeing how to combine legislative restrictions and lean flexibility
  • Toto Ltd,  experiencing kaizen techniques and Lean Management
  • OMRON Group to value productivity and disability as distinctive qualities of an outstanding company
